This two-day conference celebrates 20 years of the Group for Neural Theory (GNT) by bringing together its extended scientific community — founders, alumni, and international collaborators — to reflect on two decades of progress and chart future directions in theoretical neuroscience.
The conference covers the core themes that have defined the GNT's research agenda: neural population dynamics and low-rank network models; statistical methods and machine learning for neural data; Bayesian inference and probabilistic computation in the brain; learning, plasticity and memory; and the interface between neuroscience and artificial intelligence.
Keynote speakers:
Cristina Savin, NYU
Mate Lengeyl, Cambridge University,
Jonathan Pillow, Princeton University,
Ashok Litwin-Kumar, Columbia University
Invited Speakers:
Viola Priesemann (Max Planck), Renaud Jardri (CHU Lille), Lorenzo Fontolan (Aix-Marseille University), Fleur Zeldenrust (Nijmegen), Heike Stein (ISIR, Paris), Arthur Pellegrino (ENS), Francesca Mastrogiuseppe (SISSA), Yuxiu Shao (UCA, Nice), Giulio Bondanelli (U.
